RIP Jimmy. I've only got one of his albums on vinyl (Son of a Son of a Sailor), but I'm spinning it now in his honor.
While Margaritaville and others were his most popular songs, I enjoyed some of his lesser-known tracks even better: "The Last Line" and "MaƱana" from SoaSoaS, "Come Monday," and others. These lyrics from "The Last Line" seem apropos:
Managed to keep some friends on my side
To live through the times of the rumors and lies
Now it's time to rest my heart
Let some other innocent fool take my part
[Chorus]
Whoa, whoa
Whoa, whoa
It's come from behind
Now is the time for the last line
Off to See the Lizard is a very underrated album. Carnival World, Take Another Road and Pascagoula Run are still some of my favorites of his. But I will always love Turnin' Around from Summer Rental

"Songs You Know By Heart" has been in the first slot of my CD case in the car for many years.
It'll stay there too.
