Comment on A better way to watch YouTube in ~tech
moonwalker For reference, YouTube rolled out auto-delete watch history every 36 months. Unless you manually went in and changed that, it's not operating on data from 2006My account is from like 2006, and I've used it actively since then. So the recommendation algorithm really seems to get me.

Eric Hutchinson of "Rock & Roll" fame. Contrarily, his first album is my favorite. But plenty of other singles are great, so I'd recommend checking out his most popular tracks. Singer-songwriter, soft rock, soul.
Watsky of "Pale Kid Raps Fast" fame, a 2011 viral video. The original has since been delisted due to the large shadow it cast over his career. Highly recommend checking out the albums All You Can Do and x Infinity. His music videos are often impressive in some way, and his book is a good read. Alternative hip hop, rap, rock.

This is helpful for comparing 1:1 in a pseudo-quantive way to avoid blind spots. One important thing is after you've filled in everything and it spits out the "winner" you should evaluate how it makes you feel. I once did this with apartment hunting and the emotional reaction helped me identify the one I was actually most interested in, even though the data didn't bear that out.

Hm, interesting. I think I disagree, but we're probably aligned in sentiment. My feeling is everything can be improved to some degree, but something as major as an LLM integration should be an optional add-on. Or if it's that tightly integrated then fork it and spin it off as a new program. If they did that I wouldn't even be opposed to it being preloaded and set to the default, as long as there’s an option to switch back. But you're right, capitalism does not incentivize this type of pro-consumer management/behavior in the slightest

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like for me, with SponsorBlock. The time text seems difficult to read, and the play button looks awkward in my opinion. It's got two rounded edges and one sharp edge.
