I have been loving English Teacher recently, this and R&B being highlights of theirs. I sympathise with their feelings about the post-punk label - while I really enjoy me some Yard Act & friends, it feels a bit like a catch-all genre for anyone in the British indie rock scene right now. It's great seeing bands like Wet Leg and English Teacher breaking out of that and just having fun with some funky dance tunes.
If you like this, maybe check out The Last Dinner Party as well, they've got a similar thing going on with very personal, reflective lyrics set to fun, danceable music.
Young people being tunefully raucous - what's not to love about this? (okay, it's a bit too long, but still). I think this article is reasonable (I've only skimmed it mind)...
