Although I listened to it when it came out, I have been giving Johnny Flynn's newest album The Moon Also Rises another listen and really appreciating it. I absolutely adore Johnny Flynn but I feel like outside of my friends, who have I shared with, no one knows him. He's in the same cohort as Cosmo Sheldrake but more of a folk feel to it, less alt/electronic. I believe the two are friends IRL, they've collaborated in the past.

I had never heard of him but I'm really enjoying that album. Uncanny Valley is a banger of an opener and the album keeps that energy. I'm definitely going to give his other albums a listen!

Wow I'm so glad to hear! Check out his live album "Live at the Roundhouse" from 2018. It a great compilation of his songs up until that point, and each live version in that album is (in my opinion) as good if not better than studio. Also Lost in the Cedar wood is great. A collaboration with the nature writer Robert Macfarlane, if you're familiar, which ends up being a concept album about the Epic of Gilgamesh. Very cool!

I’ve been binging Miracle - Rüfüs du Sol Remix and You & Me - Rico Remix. Really digging the more driving electronic vibes while working. Gets me into a focused, flow state. From there, letting the Spotify algorithm do its thing.

If anyone has some similar vibes to share, I’m all ears!
