Forgive a bit of shameless self-promotion here, but it's Bandcamp Friday today and I'm pretty chuffed with how this live album turned out. It's rough around the edges, and not up to our usual standard of highly polished recorded releases, but then it is a live album. I'm super proud of how we sound on this and there are a few tunes on here that have never seen the (recorded) light of day before!
Precisely why I enjoyed it so much. :P I love love love the raw feel of the live music and live albums. IMO only really talented bands can pull them off though. And you all absolutely did, so that...

Graphite, Siren, Tarot and Glad I Woke Up are definitely going on regular rotation for me. But that System of a Down medley was absolutely fucking awesome too. I am a MASSIVE SOAD fan! You went for some deep cuts too. Radio/Video, Peephole, and Vicinity of Obscenity are not the most popular or recognizable of their songs, but are among my favs... especially since they're so fun to sing along with, so I can see why you chose them! :P
I'm not as familiar with Pendulum though, so couldn't sing along to that medley, other than the Propane Nightmares part... since that song was bloody everywhere for a while.
p.s. Any chance the show was recorded? I'd love to watch some of the performance!
Aww thanks! I'm a big fan of live albums as well, and I'm very glad it's turned out so well. The SOAD medley is such a treat to play, I enjoy it so so much. We purposefully went for the less well...

The SOAD medley is such a treat to play, I enjoy it so so much. We purposefully went for the less well known tunes just for the sake of keeping it more interesting for us, but it turned out really well! Always gets the crowd going as well. Vicinity of Obscenity is just ridiculously fun to play, that riff!
Honestly, Pendulum were new territory for me as well, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing. It meant that I was approaching it from my own perspective and putting my own spin more on it than doing exactly what Pendulum themselves do. That's another crowd favourite, as it goes!
There was indeed a video of the whole set! The venue took a full multi-camera recording of the whole gig, here.
Oh, damn. It was a Battle of the Bands? That's awesome. Congrats on the win!!! Well deserved!!! p.s. Thanks for the link to the video, I will definitely give that a full watch tonight.

Watched it last night. That was a great performance!!! I love how happy/excited you all got after you were announced the winners. :) Congrats again on the well deserved win! p.s. The other bands...

p.s. The other bands were pretty damn good too, BTW. I love metal, so all the other bands were up my alley too. My favorite of the bunch (after y'all) was 40,000 Leagues. Their singer has some serious pipes! VLKA could absolutely shred, but pure death growl vocals is pretty meh to me.
40,000 Leagues were amazing, and they were all the loveliest people as well. I spent most of that evening hanging out with their guitarist. When we won the competition they were all absolutely...

Yass! Woke up to the email this morning alerting to the release. Giving it a listen now, enjoy the time off!
I saw the email notification earlier too, and just came here to see if it was posted already. And if it wasn't, I would have. :P
