I listened to this play list and it really reminded me of something said by Radie Peat (of Lankum (a band that @cfabbro made me aware of)) in this interview

Another source that the band find themselves coming back to repeatedly is the collection From Puck to Appleby. First released in 2003, it contains a unique collection of songs from Irish Travellers living around London from the 1970s onwards, recorded by Jim Carroll and Pat Mackenzie.

Because Lankum sing a range of songs from the Traveller repertoire, in particular those by Mary Delaney, the treatment of Travellers in Irish society weighs on them. ‘We sing a number of songs that we got from Traveller singers’, says Peat, ‘and it’s very jarring and difficult to know that and see how the Travelling community is treated.’

I don't know what I'm trying to say here. Probably nothing because

reasons I'm having chemotherapy, and immunotherapy, and a bunch of other meds, and oh boy they've addled my brain.
but I know some people here enjoy off-the-beaten track and perhaps difficult music so I thought I'd post this here while I can't sleep.

Love me some Irish/Scottish Traveler music, and Maritime Canadian folk. They all come from similar roots, and have a similar soul to them. Especially love me some Lankum though. I hope I get to...

p.s. Thanks for the ping. I really enjoyed those Jeannie Robertson songs too. Never heard of her before, and decided to do some digging:

That's awesome. I like these random tidbits of obscure knowledge people bring back after chasing down a rabbit hole. Thank you for sharing, this brightened my day!
