Her breaking with the abusive Titanic Sinclair (who wanted to keep her only doing weird pop) was certainly a fantastic choice. This shift into industrial metal/hardcore is just awesome.

pinging @SpruceWillis so they can check out that track too.

Yeah I did hear V.A.N., it was a big part of the reason that I was struggling to imagine how Knocked Loose were going to incorporate a Poppy feature, lol. It was a cool song, although tbh I thought it was a little cheesy, but Poppy was mostly just doing her normal haunted doll sing-talk thing. It's a perfectly good shtick, don't get me wrong, but I didn't really have any idea how she was going to fit on a KL song. Even her screaming in V.A.N. - and the stuff I've heard her do before - sounded really processed and didn't sound like it had a lot of technique behind it. So I really wasn't expecting how brutal her vocals would be on this KL track, she kicked ass.

I hadn't heard it, thanks for letting me know, it's great. That riff is groovy and the breakdowns crazy, didn't realise Poppy had that in her.

That breakdown is wild! Knocked Loose are hitting it out the park, also nice to see Poppy's descent into heavier and heavier music.

For those into poppy’s heavier vocals, check out her Kitty cover of “Spit.” The lyrics are especially satisfying knowing she just got out of a horrific relationship.

So good. This album is likely AOTY 2024 material if it's as good as the three singles
