The new album, Die Urkatastrophe, released today and it is another excellent slab of crushingly heart-wrenching WWI-inspired melodic black/death metal.

Angrymetalguy (although not AMG himself) giving it a 5/5 motivated me to give it a chance, and I'd say it well worth a listen!
Waffenbrüder, Menschenmühle (the track, not the old album) and Der Maulwurf stand out just a little bit extra, based on a first listen.

Nevertheless, one of the cool things that crew does is the annual 'Contrite Metal Guy' posts where certain releases are re-evaluated after a longer digestion period. Though I expect this to drop only half a point - or a full one at worst, whatever you may ascribe to numerical ratings - as I am very much loving this after the initial spins.

Kanonenfieber is a great band, definitely one of the top releases for this week
Found this on angrymetalguy and it's on my daily listen along with the new Octoploid album.
Don't know about the 5/5, but certainly close.
