Whoa, there's a name I haven't thought about in a long time!
My Guilty Pleasure used to be one of my "fall asleep" albums. To this day I'm not sure if I've ever actively listened to the back half of it, because I almost always nodded off midway through the album.
Happy to see that she's still making music! I'm going to have to add her back into my music library and listen to what she's done since.
Aww, that's sweet! I don't know what is (or isn't) in the water over there, but y'all have an complete corner on the market for great pop music. Also: HOW COOL IS IT that this site and community...

Nice! +1 for this. I came across this the other day when looking for my faves released for the week of May 30. An unrelated twitch stream I watch often plays a lot of music from the italo disco genre/scene as background music and Sally Shapiro's music is inspired/influenced by that too and it instantly caught my ear, and mixing it with synthpop/synthwave/etc is a natural fit
I think italo disco's adjacency musically to new wave / etc is why I'm drawn to some of it.
Nice, I listened to Disco Romance a lot back in the days.
