I think nearly everyone of my generation came to know him through King of the Hill. And for a while I thought he was a fictitious character made for the show. Imagine my surprise a few years ago while thumbing through records at a Goodwill and I saw a copy of “Feels So Good”. Blew my mind.
Anyway, I always really enjoyed him showing up like a cryptid on KotH from time to time. RIP.

Feels So Good was the theme song for a local talk show I worked on back in my college radio days. I had never heard of Mangione prior to that gig, and very seldom after that; it’s basically my only connection to the guy apart from that brief mention of him in the beginning of Doctor Strange.

I heard 'Feels So Good' playing in a Home Depot a few months ago and I just imagined him up in the rafters playing his heart out. RIP
