Honestly, not immediately to my tastes at start, but getting better with each repeat and digging the, uhh, gui-synth-tar solo. Although the ending is violating my don't-repeat-the-same-damn-lyrics-more-than-three-times-in-a-row-you-lazy-ass-songwriter rule and could have been 20 seconds shorter and better because of it.
I've enjoyed a few songs from Two Door Cinema Club, but generally found their music to have a very samey sound. Don't know the technical terms, but I think it has to do with the lead guitar...
I've enjoyed a few songs from Two Door Cinema Club, but generally found their music to have a very samey sound. Don't know the technical terms, but I think it has to do with the lead guitar tuning/riff. This is the first song that's come up* that's had a different sound and appeal. Thought it'd be worth posting in case other people had written them off like I had.
*I tend to use spotify song radios to find new (to me) music, this song is by no means new so that's I put the year in the title.
It's been stuck in my head for over a week. Giving their discography another chance now!
I do enjoy Two Door Cinema Club, but I do understand how Lavender could appeal to you if you do not enjoy their earlier work. The entire Gameshow album is different in style than their previous...
