Hendrix, King Crimson and the Grateful Dead played by big bands; brass bands jamming on Michael Jackson; Nina Simone sings Steppenwolf; Flying Lotus recast as Brazilian jazz, and much more.

Bookmarked for later when I have some time to listen. I'm especially looking forward to listening to this episode though since coversongs are kind of my thing. I created /r/coversongs 8 years ago...

Bookmarked for later when I have some time to listen. I'm especially looking forward to listening to this episode though since coversongs are kind of my thing. I created /r/coversongs 8 years ago and only stepped down from running it a few months ago after Tildes launched. Can't wait to see what the jazz world has to offer in the realm of musical re-imagination! :)
