For comments I don't think it matters too much which people link to, but for topics I personally think that people should only submit YouTube links instead of invidio.us if that is the primary...

For comments I don't think it matters too much which people link to, but for topics I personally think that people should only submit YouTube links instead of invidio.us if that is the primary source. Even though I despise ads (which is why I use uBlock) and tracking (which is why I use FF with a whole bunch of additional privacy extensions), YouTube is still the way most content creators support themselves, and so we should respect/support that even if we don't necessarily agree with it. And if anyone wants to only ever view YouTube videos through invidio.us they can input the video URLs there themselves, or use a browser extension that automatically redirects them... but IMO Tildes should not be tacitly supporting invidio.us by allowing topic submissions from there.
Just my 2ยข anyways. AFAIK there is no official policy regarding invidio.us links yet.
