Sorry to hear of his passing. If you like this sort of music, I highly recommend giving a listen to Afropop Worldwide! I wasn't aware they were still around, but I remember listening on the local NPR station during late night drives when I was younger. It was a great way to have my tiny world opened up a bit. I'm particularly fond of Senegalese pop. Lots of fun stuff there!
