So, don't take this personally, but "amazing" and "song' are pretty bad tags for ~music. I mean it's Daft Punk, so it's not like I have no idea what I'm walking into, but they certainly don't add...

I mean it's Daft Punk, so it's not like I have no idea what I'm walking into, but they certainly don't add much to the post. I'd love if we in ~music started thinking about how the tags could be used for classification / filtering of content and started building ideas around that!

That's alright. Picking the genre isn't something people here should have to do - especially when it's just sitting there at the other end of that link, and in so many free-access databases all over the internet. Eventually, we're hoping to have most of the data auto-populate and have the submitter remove or add their own tags / tweak the title on top of that.

From modding music subs on reddit, we're sick of people having to do all that work to meet the posting requirements in the various music communities. It should be as simple as just pasting the link in the submission form and hitting a [suggest tags and title] button. Let's get the computers to do the work for us, that's their strength. ;)

This can probably be extended to books, videos, film, and television and many other forms of content as well.

Oh man, I just got really excited about the thought of opening pull requests for an musicbrainz scraper. All of that data in there from submission time! So many less pointless modmails!

I definitely agree with @Amarok on this. On r/listentothis around 70% of our modmail is people not understanding how our title format works (which pretty much all our bots and Automod config are keyed around).

It sucks for us (who wants to be an unpaid help desk employee when you really just care about music) and it's incredibly annoying to our users.

That's why we have to think about ways to make things like that easier for everyone.

It'd also be cool to build a personalized music recommendation ~group (like a multireddit) that functioned on genre tags & artists and your votes on em

Very underrated song too, I believe it's a bit of a call back to a musical that Paul made called The Phantom of Paradise . Overall, probably my favorite song on the entire album. Thank you for...

I actually just listened to this album the other day out of the blue. The whole damn thing is such a great time.

RAM is definitely one of my favorite albums. Have you heard the Japan bonus closing track? I heard it for the first time a few days ago and can't believe I'd been missing it for the past five...
