Good Music To Avert The Collapse Of American Democracy, Volume 2 is a compilation made up entirely of previously-unreleased recordings from some of the most important names in music today. The album features never-before-heard new songs, covers, remixes, live versions, and unreleased demos from incredible artists across many genres. The collection will be available for 24 hours only, exclusively via Bandcamp, this Friday, October 2nd starting at 12:01am PT.

100% of the net proceeds from the album’s sales will go to Voting Rights Lab, a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that brings state advocacy, policy, and legislative expertise to secure, protect, and defend the voting rights of all Americans. Voting Rights Lab is a project of New Venture Fund.

This is a follow-up to Volume 1, which was sold last month. Volume 2 will be available for purchase tomorrow only.

I predicted last time they were going to bring it back, but I was expecting a re-release of the previous one, not a whole new volume!

What do you think of the music? I'm severely underwhelmed by the only track you can preview.

Looks like plenty of these tracks are available to stream, just not on bandcamp. C'mon, guys. You should have all of these videos linked right there like on other artist pages. Hardly a point in paywalling the tracks if they are all online.

I haven't bought or listened to it yet and won't really have a chance to until late tonight, unfortunately. I felt the first one was neat but ultimately an inessential novelty, and this seems like a larger version of that.

I'd say it's worth it only if you're interested in supporting the target organization, or if you want assorted cutting room floor tracks from recognizable names. I don't think you'll be missing out on a ton should you choose not to get it.
