LFB (Looking For Band) Thread: Make music with other folks on Tildes
Inspired by the recent LFG thread I figured it would be good to start a thread to get some musical collaboration happening. :)
Reply with your instruments and skills, preferred musical styles, and availability.
Love the idea! I'm a producer who is always in search of collaborators, be it vocals or instruments. I live in the EU and do most of my producing during the weekends. https://soundcloud.com/jakeentrecote/
Thanks for sharing! I particularly like the instrumental hip-hop style stuff :)
What's your process like? How do you go from an initial idea to a complete track? Are there any educational materials you'd recommend for learning how to produce?
Would be very happy to lay down a bass line if you need one some time :)
Thanks! My process is sit down in front of Ableton and let my feeling out lol. In terms of learning, I find Reid Stefan's videos really entertaining and useful. Also check out The House of Kush for great mixing tips.
Oh, and a heck yeah to the bass line! Lets link up
Not looking for other musicians currently, but I have spent the past year really digging into mixing music. If anyone has some music that they need mixed (or I could even give a shot at mastering, although I haven't delved into that as much) I am more than happy to help out.
Instruments: electric bass. I'd like to try vocals as well, maybe keys.
Styles: jazz, funk, jazz-funk, some metal -- I don't listen to a lot of metal any more, but I seem to enjoy playing heavy bluesy doomy basslines.
Availability: Not working currently because its the holidays, so free most days 0900-2100 UTC. Otherwise usually free 1900-2100 UTC on weekdays.
Open to trying some real time jamming with Jamulus, or just collaborating async by dropping files in a Dropbox folder or whatever.
Hello!
I don't currently have a set, but I'm buying myself an electric drum kit for Christmas. I've played throughout my child and teenage years, so I can hopefully keep some modicum of time. I'd be very interested in playing with others here :)
I've got an 8-5 job here, and usually go to bed around 10 (all EST) (in UTC that makes them 13-22, & 3)
What kind of music do you make with your synths? Sounds interesting :)
I have discovered r/BedroomBands on Reddit, in case other people are looking for a wider pool of projects or groups to collaborate on/with :)
/r/WeAreTheMusicMakers puts up a collab thread every Wed which might be worth checking out as well. See: author:"automoderator" title:"collaboration"
