    I've somehow never heard of Colin Stetson before, but I'll be checking him out.

    Two songs popped to mind, but Kannon 1 by Sunn 0))) won out (the other was 4 by Aphex Twin). I'm not even sure how to explain this answer. I think it's the odd mix of melancholy, fear and joy it seems to inspire in me.

      Colin Stetsons album with Sarah Neufeld, Never Were the Way She Was, has been a love of mine since first listen and will likely remain for many years. This would be the best jumping off point for me.

      Once you hear his work, you can start picking him out in the multitudes of movies and shows he now composes for, he just has an intense distinct sound and you will always be delighted to know the composer just by listening.

    Interesting question which I don't really understand so I'll have to interpret. That's not meant to be an insult because (for me) the meaning of art is ultimately about your own personal interpretation and so why not apply that to your question too!

    I can only interpret it to mean tracks that feel big and expansive, full of complex emotions.

    Visualizing the overwhelming complexity of the world, our ecosystems, governments, creeds, and being ok knowing its all just natural and there's nothing good or bad about it.
