I remember Animusic videos showing up on PBS from time to time and being absolutely enthralled by them as a kid. They're just so much fun to watch and they're a really neat piece of CGI from the 90s. Sure, it looks pretty dated now, but it's still wonderful to watch.
There's also "Pipe Dream", which I think is the first one I ever saw (or one like it).
And if you like "Pipe Dream", check out Wintergatan's "Marble Machine". Not sure if they took inspiration from Animusic or not, but they sure managed to bring marble-based music to life!

"Pipe Dream" is such a great throwback! I absolutely loved it back in the day and had completely forgotten about it. My memory is spotty, but I'm pretty sure I first found it by downloading it through KaZaA or some other similar file-sharing software, which is also something I'd long forgotten about.
Also, the Marble Machine is so amazingly good that my brain just automatically assumed I was being duped and it's all an elaborate ruse. I think it actually is real, but that doesn't stop my brain from reflexively jumping to disbelief as a protective measure. What a great find! Thanks for sharing these.

Yep, Marble Machine is indeed real and they're building a second one now. They've been posting build progress vids on their youtube.
