    Honestly, it's about time. Sorry, Breyer, but the writing's been on the walls for a long time now. There's nothing you could've done to prevent the far-right bullshit they're pulling right now and sticking around any longer than absolutely necessary only risks creating a 7-2 instead of 6-3.

        Huh, so it seems. I just assumed that when they changed rules to shove Gorsuch through without the 60 needed votes that they'd just change the rules back until they needed to change the rules again.

          The Democrats have a (bare) majority so they make the Senate rules. The things preventing them from doing what they like are precedent, the possibility of retaliation when the Republicans get into power, and disagreement among themselves.

          In this case Republicans set the precedent.
