I'm not really sure what say about this. I'm glad that CNN is reporting on it, but the language seems so passive. What do we need, video of the event actually taking place from Abu Akleh's perspective for their to be some accountability? It's unreal.
This is so frustrating and so predictable. Israel acts with impunity, frames the Palestinians and the PA as bad faith actors, and we end up with "BotH SiDEs" rhetoric. Israel will see no punishment and will continue to use scenes like this to feed their radicalized base of support as the 'dangers' of living in Israel to justify their apartheid.
Also the gem of a quote from the Israeli Military Spokesperson, "They're armed with cameras, if you'll permit me to say so." feels a little too tongue in cheek to me.
