Can someone explain to me how there are folks with life sentences for marijuana and this woman just got off with a 20 year sentence?

"The judge said she wanted the sentence to send an “unmistakable message” that nobody was above the law."

Those 20 years are the expected remainder of her natural life. As compared to a life sentence, it can more easily be diminished if she cooperates in new ways. It's an avenue for future deals.

What are the odds of her being "suicided" in prison like many believe happened to Epstein? Assuming he had dirt on powerful people, as many conjecture, Maxwell is the one remaining loose end...

(Forgive me if I'm being too conspiracy-minded, but none of what happened to Epstein made any sense and the official silence that followed it was painfully conspicuous.)

Idk what the point of that would be. The conspiracy with Epstein was that he was "suicided" in jail (note: not prison, it's not the same thing), out of fear, supposedly, that he would incriminate...

Maxwell was arrested, investigated, convicted, and sentenced already. If she wanted to cooperate by offering up information, if she knows any, I'd imagine she'd have done it by now. She's going to prison now, as a punishment. At the end of it, if she's not yet passed away from old age, then that'll be that.
