    I saw this come up in the r/Europe subreddit I my feed, and there were accusations that they'd they'd been insular and hostile toward the local population, with one businessman putting up a "Whites Only" sign.

    As distasteful as I find these people, I'd rather they weren't returned to Russia...yet. They'd be in danger of recruitment, which is why they left in the first place, and while Russia still lost the easy part of this war on day 3, I'd rather no more of the Ukrainian people have to suffer death, injury or trauma from the Kremlin's ongoing delusions than can be helped.

      That's where I found this link, and I saw those same comments. It sounds awful, but it's important to keep in mind that most social media outrage has very little root in reality. Maybe there have been many such signs, maybe a single, maybe none at all.

      They'll definitely be in danger of conscription if they have to go back to Russia, but I imagine they'll have terrible morale (even compared to average conscripted Russian soldiers) and be more likely to surrender or even revolt. And if they don't get conscripted, they may support the political opposition or even join protests. I can't decide what I believe is best for the world; anti-Putin Russians leaving Russia (draining the country of population and money) or staying there (increasing domestic opposition).
