This thread is posted weekly - please try to post all relevant Israel-Hamas war content in here, such as news, updates, opinion articles, etc. Extremely significant events may warrant a separate topic, but almost all should be posted in here.
Please try to avoid antagonistic arguments and bickering matches. Comment threads that devolve into unproductive arguments may be removed so that the overall topic is able to continue.
As of now there are deep tensions between Iran and Israel and people are scared about what will happen, I don't think Iran will directly retaliate as they have little power but they might do something else.
Nothing significantly bad has happened on Eid within the gaza strip, so I guess that's a positive note? I hope the Gazans are at least enjoying their Eid, some people I knew assumed the worst would happen but I feel like this is the general opinion of the war at this point, if you can even call it a war
EDIT: I was wrong, Iran has directly retaliated: At this point life is too short to care
Israel says Iran has launched multiple drones towards its territory. This might warrant its own thread.
Yeah. I'm sure most are hoping this is the extent of it (a "we tried" kind of attack that doesn't drag more countries into the conflict), but we probably won't see if they're willing to escalate more for several hours. Biden is probably going to address the nation at some point here based on whatever intel we have.
Might be worth just leaving it as is until more develops.
Edit-
Seeing reports of multiple waves now and ballistic missile launches, so yeah, looks like a major escalation.
Biden issues warning as Iran ‘prepares to launch missile strike’ on Israel
