What a terrible article! It repeatedly references this economic reform bill and not one mention of what it would actually do. Let me see if i can find a better source. It might be tough to track...

Apparently this bill will authorize the privatization of Argentina's airline and postal services among many other things. This seems incredibly short sighted. I am curious about what other reforms are in this bill. Apparently it's 328 pages long, so there is a lot in there.

I think you misread that article:

The government had to negotiate hard, however, to win support, agreeing to changes to the investment incentive plans and removing state entities such as the national airline and postal service from a list of firms to be privatized.

At this time, none of those companies will be privatized. With Argentina's annual inflation running almost 300%, it's easy to see why he won election promising to take a chainsaw to government spending and excess.

Thanks for posting an alternate as I felt the same after reading the first article. In my reading of it, the airline and postal service privatization are given as examples the bill being "watered down" and so are not being privatized.
