Israeli lawmakers vote overwhelmingly against Palestinian statehood, challenging US policy (CNN)
Worth noting:
It's becoming close to impossible for me to believe that Israel wants sustainable peace by this point. :| It seems more like the Palestinian people will end up permanently stateless the longer this goes on.
I mean I watched a speech in their Knesset earlier, where their finance minister talked at length about how Palestinian people do not exist. There are only Arabs, and there was nothing but dessert there before the jews came and "made it bloom". They said there is no Palestine, no heritage, no culture, no kings, etc. And that you can't exist as a people without those things. Therefore Palestinian people do not exist.
They want the land, at the EXPENSE of peace. Their history books are going to say Palestine never existed.
