If you look through my profile, I've been posting about this for a couple days now. It seems that the Saudi government is pulling all support for anything Canadian. They pulled all scholarships from students abroad in Canada and they've done this as well. While pulling people out of hospitals is indeed a strange play, I think the Saudi's are basically doing everything in their power to punish Canada and its citizens for the human rights comments they made.
As a Canadian, all I can say to that is "fuck 'em". Our government's deals with Saudi Arabia (especially the recent arms deals) were rather shameful, IMO. So while I'm sure this really sucks for...

So while I'm sure this really sucks for any Saudis abroad in Canada and vice versa, I am actually glad our relationship with them has soured, especially over such an important human rights issue like their recent imprisonment of the Womens' rights advocates.
Can anyone explain the Saudi’s response to me? It seems like a gross over reaction to a couple tweets and I genuinely don’t get it what they are hoping to accomplish.

I don't know what else to say besides pulling out people in hospital is a bizarre card to play.

From the US state department
There's that good old American isolationism at work again, who even cares about our closest ally?
KAS is a far closer strategics alley to the US right now then Canada.
I mean Canada has been declared a national security threat so I don't see why we would help them.
