    Yikes. This makes me wonder if anyone has ever tried to estimate just how many disinformation operatives there are in the world. If they have the resources to target a specific 4 story building in Russia, that puts into perspective just how large the operation really is.

      It’s safe to assume every country either has an in-house shop for this purpose like Russia’s Internet Research Agency, China’s wumao, Israel’s hasbara brigades, England’s new 77th Brigade, or the dozens of US propaganda outfits; or they outsource it to private firms like Targeted Victory and the late Cambridge Analytica.

      So you’re easily talking tens of thousands of people for whom it’s a job, and possibly millions if you start counting volunteers.
