this is fine.
As late as 7 p.m. Thursday, military and diplomatic officials were expecting a strike, after intense discussions and debate at the White House among the president’s top national security officials and congressional leaders, according to multiple senior administration officials involved in or briefed on the deliberations.
Officials said the president had initially approved attacks on a handful of Iranian targets, like radar and missile batteries.
in case it was not clear by now, the US is probably going to war with iran and there is almost nothing anybody can do about it because donald is probably the more dovish one in his administration in this situation, not the hawkish one.

This honestly terrifies me. Setting aside the fact that thousands innocent civilians would be needlessly slaughtered in such a conflict, I am worried about the repercussions that we will have to face at home (I live in Sweden). As far as I understand, the EU is currently tearing at the seams much because of the refugee crisis, which is caused by conflicts in Syria/Libya, which in turn can be traced back to the post-9/11 invasion of Iraq (and perhaps even earlier, such as US support in the Bear Trap). Another such crisis might be the final straw that knocks out the EU.
Well that's gonna suck. Iran seems like a pretty powerful country, compared to Saddam's Iraq. If the US is really going in, I expect a massive clusterfuck.

That's not a very high bar though. I expect the invasion itself would go fairly smooth. Then comes the decades of guerrilla warfare between the US-backed democratic government and the Kurds,...

Honestly I believe a war with Iran is Trump's best chance for winning re-election, and I really hope he doesn't realise that.
