Normally I'm not one to post more Trump news but something about this one just hit me in a way that I don't think I've quite experienced with Trump news yet. Did that fucking moron just try to turn an international diplomatic incident into a reality TV shock moment?!?!?!
It's... I don't know, it feels even weirder somehow than any previous Trump news (that I know of) because it feels like none of the actual politicos around the WH were around to stop it, so now we get Trump in his true form: reality TV moron, running the country exactly like all the satire in 2015 said he would.
It's the stereotypical Jerry Springer move: "That person you're so upset about? Well, we've got a surprise for you. They're actually backstage right now! Let's bring 'em out here!"
The Independent's article about it has some quotes from their lawyer, saying that they had at least 3 photographers there and seemed ready to do a press call.
The absolute lack of class or any consideration for the grieving family's emotional state would be shocking from anyone but Trump.
Sadly I feel like there are a lot of people who will think that this publicity stunt was an attempt at 'justice' and should be lauded. 😩
