Ditto. Dune is my all-time favorite scifi novel series and I have read the whole thing (including Brian Herbert's) dozens of times over the years. I actually didn't know about The Dune Encyclopedia that this molecule design is from though. It's supposedly not canon anymore, but I am still probably going to buy a copy for myself now to give it a read anyways. :P
This is neat! Learned something about chemistry, got to watch nerds and anti-nerds do their thing, and I'm there for anything Dune related.
