To me this seems more like common sense than something that should be controversial. We’ve known for decades that a high fever can cause hallucinations or fits of insanity so why is it a stretch to think an infection in the blood and/or brain could as well? My wife recently broke her skull. When she was finally recovered enough to go to the neurosurgeon for a checkup, he was unable to answer most of her questions and simply stated “every brain injury is different and we won’t know anything until 6 months to a year.” If every traumatic injury is different it follows suit that infectious damage would be just as wildly unpredictable. As much as we know about our brain and body, we are still discovering unknown organs!

An undiscovered internal organ? Wow! It's incredible to think something like that only being discovered recently. I guess medical science isn't as advanced as I thought!
