As a gigantic fan of Josh Johnson, I'm actually a little surprised to not have seen his sets posted on Tildes yet. He is an absolute genius of comedy, posting an hour long set of brand new material every week. But much more important than that, I feel he hits the vibe of tildes perfectly: compassionate, thoughtful, incisive, funny, and most importantly: not beaten down.
I ended up posting this to ~society because I didn't see a ~comedy link, but also because his closing call to action is really powerful and got me out of my grey-sky induced drudgery very well today:

It was a bummer to say the least because I do agree with your perception of him otherwise, it wasn't from some irreverent comedian being abrasive. But, to my knowledge, he hasn't apologized for that, and knew it was a shitty thing to say since he left the stage immediately after.
I hate to yuck someone's yum, but I do feel folks ought to be aware that he may make jokes like that before engaging with his material. My partner has continued watching his stuff and says she hasn't seen him make another joke like that. Though I assume I'm not the only one for whom that's a "not even once" offense.

I starkly remember him ending a special with "them little boys wanted it", but we watched a couple in short succession years ago now so I don't know if it was another special or if I'm just misremembering how Up Here Killing Myself ended. It shocked us because it did feel so out of character.

Was the whole thing a problem? Just the one joke? Was this somehow a call back? Does it matter? Idk. (Also that website was nigh unusable)
