How is THIS the most upvoted comment in this thread? Nine minutes is a long time for a video now? Not even gonna say why stuff like "I don't like his looks, therefore I don't wanna listen to him" is a bad line of reasoning.
Now let's talk about the actual contents. Funny thing is, this doesn't even advocate against equality as a concept, his point is that absolute abstract equality is both impossible and undesirable. One of the examples given in the video being "if men and women are equal, shouldn't I be able to hit women", which is entirely unhelpful, as instead we should be focusing on reducing violence altogether. Instead equality should be considered on case by case basis, and shouldn't be an abstract political goal.
The problem with vloggers is that they talk too much and say too little. Nine minutes of listening to some dude talk is a long time when I was able to read the 1,500 words of bot-generated...

Nine minutes of listening to some dude talk is a long time when I was able to read the 1,500 words of bot-generated transcript in one minute. Furthermore, bot-generated transcripts aren't good enough. Speech-to-text software is no substitute for a transcript written by a human being.
Frankly, I'd be happy to filter out YouTube links, but Tildes doesn't support URL filtering and it wouldn't be reasonable for me to expect other people to consistently tag video submissions with "video" or "youtube".
It still needs a transcript. Videos without a transcript or captions are useless to people with hearing difficulties, whereas a transcript can be fed into text-to-speech software. We shouldn't...

I thought about that, but this guy doesn't have a visible website or email address, and I'm not willing to create accounts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or Patreon just so I can tell him off. Nor...
You're welcome to leave the author of the video a comment.

Nor could I justify simply flagging his video as a CVAA violation, because then I'd feel obligated to go through YouTube and do the same for all of Jordan Petersen's videos, and I'm not willing to do subject myself to that asshole's bullshit.

It seems to boil down to the nuance problem. The more you zoom out on something, the more it starts to look different than what it really is. The bigger issue though, is that as humanity progresses, and refines its social, scientific and political theories more and more, the number of people who will grasp any given contemporary thought on any given issue is going to decline. And this feeds back on itself, since it requires increasing levels of specialization (and effort and time) to push the philosophical boundaries, or even to understand any given benchmark on a topic.
But it's even more insidious than that, because it sure looks like the more real expertise diverges from "popular expertise" (eg, the kind of expertise an "enthusiast" can obtain) overall faith in expertise as a general concept also seems to diminish. And so we get people who seem like they are insistent on learning everything there is to know themselves, which means they are perpetually zoomed out on any given topic, and basically come to a point where they seem to be in perpetual conflict with everything modern, because they understand nothing.
If it does, he does a poor job delivering this message. He does a poor job of transitioning to it then. How so? Have you considered you might be misinterpreting what I said before?
...The first sentence in the video answers this question.
If it does, he does a poor job delivering this message.
You aren't though. He explicitly tells you what he's responding to, and even provides video excerpt of Jordan Peterson on the issue.
He does a poor job of transitioning to it then.
This claim is not compatible with everything you said before. Like, at all.
How so? Have you considered you might be misinterpreting what I said before?
Nine minutes, no transcript, and it was posted by somebody who calls themselves "Cuck Philosophy"?
Hell no.

Yeah, a sweet spot which he doesn't cross since it's 10 minutes.
Cuck Philosophy*
Thanks.
Don't believe it was me. I personally don't find it very useful usually because it is bot generated. Still better than nothing though.

Been there, done that. Vloggers don't give a damn.
point is he is taking back the "cuck" term.
I got about 3 minutes in and there were no points being made, so I just closed the window.
