Gizmodo really wrote all that shit about a very small NASA post... Here is a link, the whole thing is like 1 paragraph long but here are a couple sentences.

Does the fact that we know how far off the aim is suggest that NASA made some kind of mistake in planning the maneuvers, only to figure it out after it was too late? I bet that's gotta sting....

A series of planned commands sent to NASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft on July 21 inadvertently caused the antenna to point 2 degrees away from Earth. As a result, Voyager 2 is currently unable to receive commands or transmit data back to Earth.

Anyway, it's wild to me that we still have comms and control over these machines launched in 1977 which continue to work to this day at unfathomable distances, temporary blackouts notwithstanding.

Wow, the title is an incredible example of clickbait. Hell, the whole article rubber-bands between the two extremes of a 'routine, instructed maneuver' yet calling it 'unplanned' and a 'glitch' in...

I haven't read much (that I can remember) from Gizmodo. Is this kind of material common?
