    I was referring more specifically to this part of the article.

    Xbox projected that by 2026, Game Pass would have 77 million subscribers - it currently has 30 million. When you consider that just two years ago, Microsoft reported having 34 million Game Pass subscribers, the picture becomes even bleaker.

    I’m not sure how many Xbox consoles have been sold in the last two generations, but it seems that they haven’t managed to attract more than a 30 million of their potential audience to subscribe across two generations.

    Most people would opt for the one-time payment for a game over a subscription since they don’t play many games anyway.

    I remember eating downvotes for even questioning the validity of this business model on Reddit. Like even anecdotally most people I know buy 1 maybe 2 games they play a year. very few people need...

    It all depends on what you consider AI-written code. But I don’t see how a project like Linux can maintain its codebase’s security when you have other projects patching hundreds of zero-day...

    How far has the industry moved to embrace AI code, and to what extent do you mean 100% human written code?

    But I don’t see how a project like Linux can maintain its codebase’s security when you have other projects patching hundreds of zero-day vulnerabilities that LLMs can find in a single day, which would take weeks or even months of human labor.

    Especially for something as widespread as Linux, you know that every government’s alphabet soup agencies will be trying to find any means necessary to compromise the system.

    Linus is 100% right , there will always be a subset of the population that dislikes the negatives of technology advances but you can’t be a main player in software today, while still doing 100%...

    Where was build-to-rent ban? Are you talking about the new housing bill from congress? Didn’t ban corporations owning preexisting single family houses but ALLOWED it when build to rent.

    The problem I see is that the solution for that is age gates which puts the burden on all adults not just a child's parents, I think kids should be banned from social media but I don't agree with...

    Personally I think it should be parental responsibility, and I don't see how it would be legal in the US without having on undue burden on adults but I didn't think we would vote for trump either.

    reddit is getting banned in France and a couple of other euro countries and some US states if they don't do age verification. I guess this is their solution.

    They already announced during the last earnings that they were going fully multi platform. Wasn’t sure why they would start with this one since GT7 is a much better game (IMO) but then I remember...
