We lions fans just accept it now. We lose on weird plays like the Megatron catch rule, Seattle batting out of the endzone, 10 second run off, among others. Just add it to the list. Either way...

It also doesn't surprise me that much in a way, because the NFL is so unprofessionally managed. Sometimes I get the impression that the NFL just has a dartboard that they use to decide how they will handle various things, because often there's little to no consistency and no rhyme or reason. This type of management structure is what allows for controversies like this to even happen, or half of the other ones that happen to the Lions, or deflategate, where these things likely could be prevented but they seemingly choose not to take such proactive measures because they prefer the controversy. Deflategate exemplifies the NFL management to me, they take a perspective that the air pressure in the ball is a competitive advantage, but yet they let the teams manage the balls. If you're going to do that, you might as well let the home team hire the refs for the game. Certainly no way that could go wrong.
