2025 NFL Season 🦃 🏈 🥧Weekly Discussion Thread – Week 14

Your resident Carolina fan here enjoying the best bye week this franchise has experienced in years. We are going to play meaningful football in December AND the Saints beat the Bucs? Damn straight. Now the Panthers and Bucs are tied for wins at the top of the division. IF the season ended today, then the Bucs take it on a ridiculous tiebreaker, but there are still 4 games to go, and two of them involves Panthers v Bucs. Whoever can maintain composure takes the division, a sweep at this point guarantees it. It's been nearly a decade, but we are legit talking about playoffs in a serious tone!

This week opens up with the Bucs playing the Falcons on Thursday. If the Bucs slip up here, they are on the back foot but the Falcons have looked really bad lately and I honestly don't have much faith. The Seahawks were just playing as if they were taking out the trash against the Falcons. The Bucs are also super beat up though, reaching out to retired former player Jason Pierre-Paul (who famously blew up his hand with fireworks while he was still with the Giants) to fill the gaps.

Now the Panthers play the Saints. A Saints team that looks like they have some life in them and are not just pushovers. We lost to them once already, I hope the team takes that to heart because we can't afford to be behind in the race against the Bucs. I'm feeling that we can win, but this team has been super bipolar. I really can't bank on anything anymore because it depends on which team shows up. I'm beyond "Just make it competitive" knowing that this team really needs to beat the Saints.
