Copying a comment by @gpl from the recent "New users: Ask your questions" topic (which I suggest all newcomers have a gander at), since it sums it up well:
I know this may be a bit disappointing to hear for many of the recent reddit refugees, but on Tildes "In-depth content (primarily text-based) is the most important". And so the consensus has pretty much always been that "fluff" AKA low-effort content should generally be discouraged here.
But if you want, I can change the link you submitted to be that twitter SportsNet video instead, since at least that offers something a bit more substantial for everyone to look at and discuss.
For sure change the link to the video. I just signed up today and I'm super excited about the concept, was watching the hockey game and wanted to contribute some content in here.
I follow a bunch of sports through highlights only and sometimes there's not a lot to say outside of "look at this sick save", but I'll try in future posts to have some decent text to go with it
I might suggest making a game thread for general discussion about the game you're watching, and where you can also then share nice saves and plays and such.
I appreciate the share. A lot of highlights are that because of the possible controversy around what happened, so I'm sure that could easily garner the appropriate quality discussions desired.
