    This whole thing stinks. The NFL is clearly making it tougher for him. What scout is available on a Saturday during the season? (According to the article, one from my terrible beloved Broncos, of course). Why insist that only the Falcons staff film it? Why now? This is all very shady.

      To be fair, any team or scout that doesn’t know Kaepernick’s skills before this is lying at best, pathetic if true. Very few teams are interested in Kaepernick at this point and those that are should already have years worth of film and stats to refer to. The NFL was definitely making it much harder than it needed to, but Karpernick could just as easily hold a session on a Wednesday and therefore have minimal competition for time of the scouts/teams. The bottom line is that NFL owners are not necessarily interested in the best talent for their team, but for who will help sell the most tickets and merchandise. He’s definitely good enough to be a starter on some teams or a back up on most, but the negative publicity he brings from the right is the real hurdle he faces. What’s preventing him from playing in a different league and therefore not needing special workouts to show his skills?
