What did you do this week (and weekend)?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
I passed my second Microsoft Fundamentals certification, MS-900. I'd studied it for like six weeks, mostly by accident, because I started looking at the materials and realized if I had a deadline, I'd actually study. Then I realized, with the practice questions, that I was behind on a lot of the topics. I was still pulling like 65% on some of the topics on this exam when I did a massive 135-question shakedown to see where I needed to improve.
I was surprised I got a 900 on it, because I figured I'd get something in the 700 range because of how much I didn't know (because it wasn't in any of the resources I used). But, I passed with a great score I'm proud of, and will get a bonus and reimbursal for the materials I used, really just the official question package I bought from Microsoft.
I will say, don't bother with braindump sites, their stuff is likely outdated, and I had to eat $20 when I realized they were asking about old products. I just wanted more questions that would be similar to the test, as many unofficial question banks just suck.
