What did you do this week (and weekend)?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
It's LAN weekend with the guys!
We, as is typical, aren't sure what we're going to play yet, but the steam sale being perfectly timed helps. I am smoking a brisket though, so got that handled. Might install the engine in the Tercel, unsure yet.
I caved and built out my Korg Volca setup: Keys, Bass, FM and Beats, with possibly a Modular or FM2 in the near future (I'm thinking 2 FMs would be great). It's like getting a dog, though, it doesn't stop at adoption. I got a case to at least hold my main 4 volcas, MIDI stuff to connect it all (a DIY 1-to-4 splitter for syncs, a bunch of cables), a 8-in, 2-out mixer, and a Scarlett 2i2 to tie it all into my computer, and a case that cost too much. I don't have anything recorded yet, but I did some jamming with my Polyend Tracker and T-8 with good results, and am finally getting the hang of the J-6 to not make cheesy chord sequences.
