What did you do this week (and weekend)?

As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!

So I kinda went spending, and spring cleaning nuts the last few weeks. I bought a new upright vacuum (Shark Vertex DuoClean), handheld vacuum (Bissel PowerClean Pet), robot vacuum (eufy RoboVac G30), steam mop (Bissel PowerFresh), and a bunch of other cleaning equipment and supplies I was lacking. All those new purchases work amazing, BTW... especially the new upright vacuum which is absolutely incredible at picking up dog hair! Then with all that new stuff I did a deep clean of my entire apartment, which I haven't done in a shamefully long time.

Then I basically completely reorganized and de-cluttered my apartment by throwing out a ton of shit, like dozens of old cables (USB, ethernet, monitor, power, adapters, etc), a bunch of old devices that were either broken or I never use anymore (laptops, HDDs, Kindles, iPhones, vapes, Xbox 360, Wii, etc), old clothes that had holes in them or didn't fit anymore, and various other shit that has been accumulating in my apartment over the last decade and was shoved in drawers, closets, and cupboards.

Then I bought a bunch of new storage solutions for my living room, kitchen, closets, bedroom, and bathroom, including new laundry hampers, a shoe rack, and coat hooks, to help keep things off the floor, tidier, and more organized in future. And then I finally cable managed my TV and computer areas so they aren't a rats nest of wires anymore.

It was a LOT of work... but I'm pretty much done now, am pretty proud of myself, and I think my apartment looks a million times prettier. It will also be way easier to keep clean in the future now too, since there are less places dust (and dog hair) can get trapped, way less clutter everywhere, and my new robot vaccuum doesn't have a bunch of obstacles in its way anymore (other than the bazillion dog toys scattered everywhere, which can't be helped ;).

And next on the chopping block is my bathroom shower stall, which desperately needs regrouting... but that will have to wait until my back and knees recover a bit, since doing cable management is a lot harder on my body than it used to be. :(

Worked in the week and didn't do much else other than work, eat and sleep. Now it is the weekend. I had a movie night last night with a friend and today i am out for dinner and then some board games after that. Sunday will likely be cleaning the house and other housework chores
