Fun thing I've learned from my husband -- 7-11s in Oklahoma are completely separate from the rest of corporate 7-11. Something about a family franchising it and owning every 7-11 in the state, so they decide to sell/not sell various things.
what?! They own every 7?? Do they...how....how do they prevent other state franchisees who want to expand into their state from not wanting to be part of their OK chain? Huh TIL. @cyanocobalamin...

Another commenter added more info at a link, but apparently they just got there in the game first, and there's just an agreement between them and corporate. It's so crazy to me!

I am the husband who worked at the Oklahoma 7-11's! Worked their many many years ago and live far from Oklahoma now. Fun fact, owned by a catholic family so we didn't sell lotto tickets or...
