    Yeah, I think the issue with Book 3 is that it isn't really an end, but a setup for the rest of the series since it has such wide-reaching implications with everything. Honestly it's not until the third trilogy that all the ramifications became clear, which I can't say is the best storytelling.

    Book 2 drove me nuts. Fitz was so dumb! But...I guess so was I at that age. But still!

    You won't regret Assassin's Apprentice. It starts a little slow, and the prose in the very first chapter was weird to me (it changes almost immediately), but once it starts going...oh it goes hard.

    Fun thing I've learned from my husband -- 7-11s in Oklahoma are completely separate from the rest of corporate 7-11. Something about a family franchising it and owning every 7-11 in the state, so...

A friend of mine had been telling me about them for years but I never got around to them. Now she gets sporadic texts from me about all my feelings!

    I completely agree with you actually. I have been playing since RBY came out, and there is just something about how invested these games made me. First time I ever completed the Pokedex. I am so excited for the DLC. I do admit it runs like garbage, but still -- the gameplay loop was just very well done.

    Hi everyone! 7 year Reddit vet who heard about this place in the quick sinking of the ship (a RiF user myself). I had to ask for an invite once I saw this place -- I'm an old pioneer of the early Internet days, and used to make my home on many an old discussion boards. I've never made a meme, and only ever really like to write long-form text, so...this seems a perfect fit!

    I have two cats, two dogs, and a wonderful husband (who I convinced to come over here as well!). I love video games (RPGs, action adventure, etc.), reading (Sanderson is my favorite author and Robin Hobb is my current obsession), D&D, traveling, and learning new things. Very casually learning Japanese and guitar right now to keep the mind fresh.
