What did you do this week (and weekend)?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
I wrapped up my visit with my dad in Oregon. My brother and I took the train to and from with a roomette, basically two seats that fold into a bed with a bunk above. I had top bunk on the way home.
Our train was delayed by three hours which put us in line to see the 1/6 SpaceX launch at Vandenberg AFB, which I'm uploading the video of tonight (I'll post a link). It was amazing, and probably one of the best views you could get. Unfortunately we couldn't leave the train, but another attendant wanted to watch, so we popped a window open downstairs and I caught solid footage of it.
It was a fun trip, but the lack of sleep mixed with the being stuck on a train led to me not wanting to do it again, but you don't get to accidentally see a rocket launch on one of the world's oldest active transport methods if you take an airplane.
