I'm currently driving across the continental United States. For the fourth time. We started at the Pacific on Sunday and took off properly on Wednesday. It's been stressful but trying to make the best of it and enjoy the travel. I've saved up podcast episodes for a couple months and am trying (and currently disliking) an audiobook - though to be fair, it appears to be an AI generated voice and it's grating and I'm also not really liking the book itself (is it also AI generated?!). Only three more days of driving down I-90 to go!

I'm going to my first rodeo this weekend. Never been to one, no idea what to expect! But I'm excited to find out if it's cool.

Today was my last day at work. Well sorta. I'm moving into a different relationship/role with the organization, as a consultant/contractor, while I head to a new fulltime job. This is my 2nd time leaving this organization, having left in 2019 and then coming back in 2021. Guess I can never really leave.

More importantly, aside from this consultancy, I have the next 4 weeks off since I'm technically jobless! Though a lot of it will be dedicated to packing up and cleaning, in preparation for the move in 2 weeks. I'm sure it'll go by quick, but I'll be sure to get some relaxation, gaming, and some level of laziness in.

Isn't that odd? I almost enjoyed getting covid. I got it right before Christmas and it changed my December. Changing my schedule up and not being in-office for two weeks gave me the time and space to slack off like everyone else was without having to deal with... well... everyone else being bored. I got to be bored on my own, something I wasn't getting a lot of at the time.

I'm glad to hear you're taking your illness in stride and even enjoying the parts of it you can. Food poisoning is definitely one of the human experiences!
