What did you do this week (and weekend)?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
Did an hour long test ride on the motorcycle today, to make sure I like the new gear I bought (riding jeans, throttle rest, hydration pack). Doing a 200 mile/4 hour ride tomorrow morning to Louisiana for a late Halloween party, then riding back home Sunday.
It'll be nice to get out on the back roads for a few hours, even if it has been oppressively hot and humid these past weeks.
If I get home early enough Sunday, I'd like to do some work on making Weblorg compatible with Org-roam so I can write and selectively publish my notes as web pages seamlessly, by adding a tag like
:publish:to any notes I want to go up on my website. There is an open pull request that (I think) does what I want, but it hasn't been updated in ten months. I'll probably start there, and see how far I can get. I still haven't taken the time to properly learn Emacs Lisp or read its manual, so I'm mostly just fumbling around until I get things to work. Who knows, maybe I'll push that pull request over the finish line and finally get it merged.
