What did you do this week (and weekend)?
As part of a weekly series, these topics are a place for users to casually discuss the things they did — or didn't do — during their week. Did you accomplish any goals? Suffer a failure? Do nothing at all? Tell us about it!
My partner had shoulder surgery on Xmas eve. I've been off work all week to take care of her, and to make sure the dog isn't jumping all over her.
It's been an interesting week for me. Pretty much all my coworkers are out of office for the holidays and since I just got back from my holidays, I'm one of two people manning the fort. I'm "on support" which is a lighter version of being "on call" for anyone familiar so I still have to respond to the odd ping from someone about something not working. I do have some bug fixes I need to get to but I've been feeling quite lazy this week.
As I'm procrastinating on work, I have been gaming a bit more. While I was in Japan a few weeks ago, I got addicted to the train simulator game "Densha De Go" and have been emulating the PS2 version on my computer and really enjoying it. I've also slowly going up the stakes in Balatro, I just beat the black stake on the red deck earlier today! I also hopped on the Tildes Minecraft server again after a few months. It was nice being welcomed back immediately and seeing how things have changed. I think I'll continue logging on during this quiet period at work and contributing to various small builds here and there.
