I think it’s natural that a bunch of folks here who have a shared experience in common (reddit and feelings about it) would want to discuss it but that if this place just becomes a place to bounce off of that other place, that will be super disappointing.
So, just to be clear, you think that asking about the opinion of someone is a bad route? Not dictating that they need to say one thing or the other, but asking them what they think, is a bad...

Is this correct?
Tildes should not be a place for people to discuss their opinions, or the opinions of others?
Not so generic as that. I understand why you’re upset, I didn’t know how to phrase it less hostilely. I’m mainly concerned about gossip or trash talk or banter about reddit. I think that could...

I’m mainly concerned about gossip or trash talk or banter about reddit. I think that could easily become something that happens a lot here and if it did I think tildes would be way worse off. If you had asked about Justin Timberlake or some other celebrity I’d have been totally fine with it.
That's pretty surprising given the way she reacted at the US Open. It was the most unsportsman like thing I have ever seen. Not the behavior I want my kids to mimic.

That's fine if you dont' want to mirror her actions, but she is still a role model to many people. I think her opinion would be interesting regarding this matter. Certainly not something to...

Excellent point. Tildes is not Reddit 2.0!

Because she is the wife of the CEO of reddit and he actively supports subreddits that endorse racism, violence, and misogyny.
